The Port of Oakland, on the US West Coast, has appointed a real estate law expert who had been the port’s second vice president as its new president.
Joan Story, who had been on the board for two years, was unanimously selected by Oakland’s seven-member governing body.
The term lasts for one year and last year’s president, Michael Colbruno, will remain on the board as commissioner.
