Germany’s Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven has introduced a weekly service to Container Terminal Dortmund in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
The new service, with a freight capacity of 100 teu, will run from Dortmund on Wednesdays and from Wilhelmshaven on Thursday.
It adds to another service between the two hubs which was established by duisport in April 2017.
Wilhelmshaven handles up to 25 container trains a week, while Dortmund is linked to a number of major European inland ports via the canal network.
Container Terminal Dortmund, which went into operation in early 2016, operates two terminals in Dortmund with a total of four tracks and a length of 724 m each.
