DP World and Suez Canal establish joint company

DP World and the General Authority of the Suez Canal have created a joint company to implement a series of projects in Egypt.

The Dubai-based operator plans to carry out an integrated investment plan in the country by establishing an integrated industrial, logistic and commercial zone in the canal’s economic zone.

DP World operates Sokhna container port, which sits south of the Suez Canal and is the closest port to Cairo. Most of the cargo imported to Egypt from the east is handled at Sokhna.
