MCI begins offering Star Cool with new refrigerant
Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is now offering its Star Cool reefer container with the non-flammable R513A refrigerant, which as a 56% lower global warming potential (GWP) than the traditional R134a.
All Star Cool reefers produced prior to July 2017 can be adapted to run on R513A with minor modifications.
All Star Cool units produced after July 2017 can be converted to R513A without modifications.
