TCTenerife receives first transhipment calls

Transhipment operations have begun at Terminal de Contenedores de Tenerife (TCTenerife), with container vessels of 300 m in length calling at Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the first time.

The first transhipment calls came from the Maersk Guayaquil and the Maersk Genoa.

The former, which has a capacity of 10,100 teu and a length of 337 m, undertook an operation of 1,403 boxes in 18 hours with a net productivity of more than 31 crane moves per hour (mph).
