Terminal set to open on Iran-Azerbaijan border
A new container terminal will open in Astara at the end of November, according to the head of Azerbaijani Railways.
Javid Gurbanov said that his company would send trains to Astara, a town which straddles the border between Azerbaijan and Iran on the Caspian Sea.
Azerbaijani Railways has rented 35 ha of land on the Iranian side of the border, where 1.2 km of railway and two bridges are constructed.
