Carrier Transicold reefers become even colder

Reefer manufacturer Carrier Transicold has announced that its NaturaLINE reefers can now reach new levels of coldness.

The reefers can now achieve and maintain a temperature of -40 degrees Celsius, which is also -40 degrees Fahrenheit.

The company’s senior product manager for global container refrigeration, Jim Taeckens, said: “The minus 40 C capability can help shipping lines – especially those seeking environmentally responsible solutions – to provide enhanced offerings for customers who prefer colder frozen temperatures for maintaining quality attributes of some premium cargoes, like ice cream, shrimp, sushi and other seafood over lengthy voyages.”
