Kingston Freeport Terminal adds straddle carriers
Kingston Freeport Terminal has ordered eight Konecranes Noell straddle carriers, aiming to strengthen its container handling operation at Kingston Container Terminal in Jamaica.
The facility already operates 25 Konecranes Noell straddle carriers, mainly of the N SC 644 E type.
These are diesel-electric straddle carriers that stack containers one-over-three, offering a built-in growth path to automated operation as well as prioritising eco-efficiency and maneuverability according to the manufacturer.
