Hapag-Lloyd volumes grew by 29% to 9.8m teu in 2017 which the carrier largely attributed to the merger with United Arab Shipping Company (UASC).
The carrier also cited “underlying organic volume growth” as a factor in the growth, and said it expects increasing demand for services in 2018.
