Wärtsilä to design and equip new LNG-fuelled tug for PSA

Wärtsilä will design and equip one of PSA Marine’s newest harbour tugs, operating on LNG fuel and incorporating fuel efficiency features.

The order with Wärtsilä, booked in March 2018, coincides with PSA Marine’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint as a leading service provider of marine services.

Riku-Pekka Hägg, vice president of ship design at Wärtsilä Marine Solutions, said that his company being in charge of the vessel’s design, engineering and machinery supply would ensure a fully integrated and optimised harbour tug.
