CMA CGM to develop AI tech for vessels
CMA CGM will collaborate with San Francisco-based startup Shone to develop artificial intelligence (AI) systems for its vessels.
Under the agreement, Shone will collect and analyse on board data from CMA CGM vessels to create an AI system that facilitates the work of crews on board, whether in decision support, maritime safety or piloting assistance.
Shone will also combine the system with multiple sensors such as radars and cameras to increase detection accuracy and develop an anti-collision alert system.
