The Port of Long Beach is outperforming its 2023 clear air goals with pollution from diesel particulates down 88%, sulphur oxides cut 97% and nitrogen oxides lower by 56% compared to the 2005 baseline year.
The Clean Air Action Plan set 2023 reduction targets for diesel particulates at 77%, sulphur oxides at 93% and nitrogen oxides at 59 percent.
