Bremenports announces CO2 reduction

Bremenports has announced a 70.5% reduction in CO2 since 2011 through various initiatives in its latest environmental report. The report found that CO2 emissions fell from 7,000 tonnes in 2011 to 2,056 tonnes in 2016. DP World Southampton orders green equipment

DP World has ordered 12 hybrid straddle carriers for its Southampton terminal in an effort to cut emissions and reduce its carbon footprint. Compared to conventional diesel-electric machines, DP World expects the machines will use 20% less fuel and reduce its emissions. New rail service connects French ports and Switzerland

COSCO Shipping Lines volumes up 12.4%

COSCO Shipping Lines reported a 12.4% year-on-year increase in throughput in the first of half 2018, citing economies of scale and improved management as volumes hit 11.24m teu.
