Oakland’s city council has appointed Yui Hay Lee, president and CEO of YHLA Architects, onto the Board of Port Commissioners at the Port of Oakland.
Lee, who was born in China and raised in Hong Kong, founded his architectural firm in 1980 and served as a Commissioner on the Oakland/Alameda County Coliseum Authority from 2007-2018.
He was nominated by Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and replaces eight-year Board veteran Alan Yee, whose latest term expired.
