Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has become the regular recipient of large container vessel calls, including ships from a service between Australia and China.
The A3C service Central China – East Coast of Australia service has completed its first rotation and is comprised of six vessels with capacities in the range of 8,063 to 8,500 teu operated by ANL, COSCO and OOCL.
VICT reported that the ships, which have a high utilisation of over 85% and a draught of less than 11 m, were serviced comfortably in the 14 m water depth of Port Phillip Bay.
