Container throughput for the first three quarters of 2018 has increased by 5.7% at the Port of Rotterdam to 10.8m teu, despite a 0.4% decrease in total throughput across all segments.
The volume of incoming loaded containers rose by 10% along the Asia-Europe trade lane while outbound volumes decreased by 7.6%.
For the North American trade lane, overall throughput increased by almost 10% and handling for the South American lane rose by over 20%.
