Konecranes has launched the newest iteration of its automated rubber-tyred gantry (ARTG) crane system, version 2.0.
The new offering can be retrofit to most brownfield container terminals and fits most container stack envelopes while allowing truck handling to be automated with remote supervision.
Several terminal operators including PT Prima Terminal Petikemas, a subsidiary of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero), are already using the manufacturer’s original ARTG system, which was introduced in 2013.
