Ports of Stockholm picks new boss from City Hall

The Stockholms Hamn AB Board of Directors has appointed Thomas Andersson as the new Ports of Stockholm Managing Director.

Anderson is the current deputy managing director at Stockholm’s City Hall and has prior experience within the construction sector, commerce and the tourism industry.

The previous managing director Johann Castwall will become executive director at the City of Stockholm development administration, Exploateringskontoret.

According to the company, Castwell led the work of implementing major port investment projects and has driven infrastructure and societal development matters.

Commenting on his new position, Castwell said: “The task of working within the Exploateringskontoret organisation with the development of the city from an even broader perspective feels challenging and exciting. At the same time my seven years with Ports of Stockholm have been fantastic.”

Castwell and Andersson will both begin their new positions on December 1.
