Montecon orders its third giant Liebherr mobile harbour crane
Montecon S.A has ordered its third Liebherr LHM 800, making the terminal the largest user of the giant mobile harbour crane (MHC) unit worldwide.
The order was placed at the end of November 2018 and the MHC is scheduled to start operation in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2019.
The crane is Liebherr’s most advanced mobile solution for the handling of larger container vessels, capable of servicing vessels as wide as 22 containers and with an outreach of 64 m.
