Abu Dhabi Terminals and COSCO agree to increase collaboration
Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) and newly-inaugurated COSCO Shipping Ports (CSP) Abu Dhabi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the aim to increase collaboration between the two facilities.
Located in Khalifa Port, CSP Abu Dhabi, which is owned and operated by COSCO, began operations in December 2018 and has a capacity of 2.5m teu with the capability to handle container vessels of 20,000 teu.
The two companies plan to help facilitate a significant increase in the contribution to the non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) growth for the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
