The Ocean Alliance, comprised of shipping lines CMA CGM, COSCO Shipping, Evergreen and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), has extended its cooperation agreement until March 31, 2027.
First launched in 2017 for an initial period of five years with the option for a five-year renewal, the alliance is one of the world’s largest operational agreements between shipping companies.
In a statement, COSCO said: “All members are convinced that, with the confirmation of 10 years cooperation, the Ocean Alliance would better cope with the challenges in the future and the alliance will continue to be united and strong.”
