Phoenix Lighting has announced the acquisition of Bright Light Systems, a Georgia-based company with offering LED lighting at ports with a controls system and numerous installations worldwide.
According to Phoenix, the deal strengthens its ability to support its port and terminals markets.
With expanded in-house expertise, the company can combine its lighting products with a specialised lighting control and monitoring system to bring superior efficiency and performance, it noted in a statement.
Brad Lurie, CEO of Bright Light Systems, will now manage Phoenix’s new controls division.
Ryan Hertel, managing director for ports and maritime at Phoenix, said: “Our customers are enthusiastic about this announcement as it follows the industry-wide demands for increased performance data and intelligence on the equipment critical to supporting operations.”
