Phoenix Lighting has launched a fully integrated system for terminal yard lighting that aims to give ports and terminals reliable, energy-efficient illumination with the ability to control and monitor it.
The company has released two product lines: The Highland Series, designed to meet US and Canadian port requirements, and the Meridian Series which has been designed for markets outside of North America.
Both are manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the US and while the Highland Series is UL/cUL listed to UL 1598, the Meridian holds CE certification.
Each of the high mast fixtures feature 150W and 500W versions, customised optic options and are combined with Phoenix’s Lighting Intelligence Technology (LIT) system.
The LIT system enables lighting control, zone scheduling, asset management and real-time data collection and is designed to be simple and secure with no software to install.
The system utilises an intuitive remotely accessible user interface and, according to Phoenix, users benefit from maximised fixture life, increased safety and energy savings of up to 35%.
Managing director for Phoenix’s Ports & Maritime division, Ryan Hertel, said: “Phoenix continues to deliver additional product categories and innovative lighting technologies to ports and terminals worldwide.
“This latest combination of products and intelligence provides our customers an opportunity to increase safety and efficiency of operations while effectively managing an asset to maximise its return.”
