Hamburg Süd’s Mexico Polar container ship has become the first vessel to dock at the new Hutchison Ports ICAVE terminal in the Port of Veracruz.
The vessel, which has a length of 230 m, a width of 37.30 m and a capacity of 3,800 teu, was named in a ceremony at the terminal which is scheduled to soon begin operations.
Due to its size, design and number of reefer connections (1,000 plugs), the vessel is specially designed to transport refrigerated cargo.
