The Port of New Orleans was closed for over three days as the remnants of Hurricane Barry passed over the city.
The New Orleans container terminal and Ports America terminal closed at noon on Thursday July 11 and vessels were not allowed into the Mississippi river until 6am on Sunday July 14.
Rail terminals like Union Pacific’s Avondale, Louisiana intermodal terminal and the New Orleans Intermodal Facility were also closed.
