Kalmar to deliver four zero emission RTGs to Asyaport
Asyaport Liman A.S. (Asyaport) has ordered six Kalmar zero-emission rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes equipped with Kalmar SmartPort solutions and the recently launched Kalmar One automation system.
The terminal is a joint venture between the Turkish Soyuer family and Global Terminal Limited, which secures berths and terminal capacity in the major ports used by MSC.
Asyaport is Turkey’s first transhipment container terminal and has an annual capacity of up to 2.5m teu and it is currently investing in capacity expansion, with the new RTGs set to operate in the new yard that is being constructed as part of this project.
