A.P Møller – Maersk’s chief operating officer (COO) Søren Toft has left the company and current CEO Søren Skou has taken on the role in the interim.
Toft worked for Maersk for a total of 13 years and has held many roles, first joining the company as the vice president area line and operations manager in 2005, then becoming vice president and managing director in 2008 before taking on the role of vice president in 2010.
He took on the role of COO in January 2014 where he held the responsibility of global operations for the liner businesses and has left Maersk to pursue an opportunity outside of the company.
