The Port of Sines welcomed the MSC AMBRA which, with a capacity of 23,756 teu, is currently the largest ship in the world in commercial operation within the containerised cargo segment.
The vessel belongs to the new generation of containerships with a length of 400 m, 61.5 m of breadth and a draft of 16.5 m.
In addition to greater capacity, this new class of ships are more efficient and sustainable environmentally and offer greater stability and safety in navigation.
