Evergreen orders 1,800 Star Cool reefers

Evergreen has selected Star Cool as the approved reefer machine for its growing reefer operations with an initial order for 1,800 such reefers from Maersk Container Industry (MCI) scheduled for delivery during Q2 2020.

Prior to placing the order, the Taiwanese company spent most of 2019 running live trials across its global network involving all relevant reefer machines, including Star Cool.

The carrier subsequently conducted an evaluation, which included not just the performance of the individual reefers but also aspects such as cargo care and service support.
