Antwerp first to test smart bracelet designed to prevent corona infection at work

Port of Antwerp is set to begin tests with a digital bracelet that ensures social distancing and permits contact tracing in an attempt to prevent corona infection on the work floor.

Designed by tech company Rombit, the Romware Covid Radius warns employees when they come too close to one another and it is able to track which work colleagues an infected person has come in contact with in order to prevent further infection.

However, the Covid Wearable never passes on a worker’s location or other sensitive information to the employer and contact tracing checks can be carried out by a health advisor or trusted confidant.
