APM Terminals (APMT) commissioned two new multi-million dollar mobile harbour cranes (MHCs) at Apapa Port, Lagos, as part of a US$80m investment.
The terminal now operates with a total of 10 MHCs, 23 rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, six empty container handlers, 48 specialised truck terminals, six reachstackers and 11 forklifts.
Including the additional US$80m, APMT Lagos has invested US$438m into the terminal since 2006 – the highest by any private terminal operator in Nigeria.
