The Panama Canal has implemented a temporary adjustment to its reservation system in a bid to provide customers with added flexibility and relief, amid the economic uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customers will be allowed to place the guarantee for the payment of the booking slot prior to the vessel initiating transit.
