Tropical Shipping implements Octopi by Navis

Tropical Shipping’s St. Thomas site in the Virgin Islands has gone live with Octopi’s cloud-based terminal operating system (TOS), while the operator is evaluating options to implement the system across its Caribbean terminal portfolio.

Tropical St. Thomas enables direct access to ports in the US, Canada and the Virgin Islands and operates at 97,000 teu annually.

To combat operational challenges, the operator has implemented Octopi’s TOS SaaS, in an effort to modernise its terminal and give stakeholders visibility and access to real-time information across operations, without having to make additional investments in IT support.
