Jebel Ali to be equipped with autonomous internal terminal vehicles

Robotics and AI specialist DGWorld is to equip Jebel Ali port with a fleet of autonomous internal terminal vehicles (AITVs) covering all related integrations in existing operation processes and infrastructure.

It is hoped that introducing autonomous vehicles and related technologies into daily operations will support terminal operator DP World’s strategy to introduce digitalisation and new technologies into traditional port operations and supply chains.

DGWorld will deliver and integrate the autonomous technology into the existing ITV fleet in multiple phases with the goal to further increase the overall efficiency of the terminal and reduce the overall size of the currently used fleet.
