Kalmar has received an order for four forklifts from Yizheng Port, a provider of goods warehousing services, which is about to commence a new port project.
The order comprises two Essential models with a lifting capacity of 16 tonnes and two heavy forklifts with a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes. The machines will be used to handle bulk goods such as steel coils at Yizheng’s bulk cargo terminal.
The operator has cited a desire to meet safety standards and environmental regulations as a reason for the purchase.
A statement from Yizheng Port praised Kalmar’s reliability and quality, noting: “We have chosen Kalmar based on a thorough evaluation of their machine quality and after-sales service.”
The Finnish company’s Essential units are designed to be robust, reliable and suitable for demanding handling conditions, making them particularly ideal for lifting containers, steel and wood.
Its heavy forklifts are meant to provide superior power and performance while remaining agile and flexible in operation.
The order, which was concluded through Kalmar’s local dealer Suzhou Hefeng Industry Equipment, was booked in Cargotec’s 2020 Q2 order intake, with delivery scheduled in Q4 2020.
