Nokia has deployed a crane monitoring system for Pelindo 4 Indonesia, utilising a crane-mounted IP/MPLS router to stream 24/7 real-time data over LTE.
In partnership with Kurnia Energy Engineering (KEE), the 7705 Service Aggregation Router–Hm has been deployed, which extending IP/MPLS services over cellular and WLAN networks on all the cranes across the Makassar Container Terminal (TPM).
This networking capability means that port management company Pelindo 4 can now monitor container crane and rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes assets from its control room in real-time, aiming to raise operational efficiency and improve safety.
