PSA International’s total throughput volumes increased 1.7% year-on-year in 2020, handling a total of 86.6m teu across all its port projects.
The company’s flagship PSA Singapore contributed 36.6m teu to this total, down 0.9% compared to 2019, and terminals outside of Singapore were up 3.7% to 50m teu .
Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO of PSA, said: “2020 was an extraordinary year which saw the world collectively respond to the challenges and changes from COVID-19.
“As a group, PSA has demonstrated agility and performed credibly against the backdrop of a global pandemic and resulting recession, playing our part alongside as an essential business to keep supply chains open safely.”
He expressed his appreciation to PSA’s staff, unions and management around the world who “have gone above and beyond throughout the year” and also thanked the continued support and partnership from customers, partners and stakeholders.
