Maersk has launched a new logistics solution for fresh fruit suppliers, combining existing short sea connections and deep-sea services from Turkey, Egypt and Israel to the Port of Novorossiyk with the intermodal service between the Black Sea hub and Moscow.
In December 2020, the first refrigerated containers heading from Mersin, Turkey, were dispatched from the Port of Novorossiyk enroute to terminal Selyatino in Moscow on a train operated by Ruscon.
Two days later, the containers arrived at the Selyatino terminal in Moscow and were safely delivered to the end-consignees.
