DP World Caucedo has received the ship with the largest capacity and dimensions to dock in the Dominican Republic, after completing its pier infrastructure expansion.
The MSC Katrina, which connects Europe with the Caribbean, South America and the Pacific, has a capacity of 12,999 teu and a length of 366 m by 48.40 m wide.
Having made a US$114m investment in port infrastructure development, the operator is looking to contribute to the country’s plans to become the main logistics hub in the Americas region.
