The Federal Maritime Commission has granted K Line, part of Ocean Network Express (ONE), temporary relief from certain service contract and tariff filing requirements in wake of malicious cyberattack.
The cyberattack severely inhibited K Line’s information systems, starting on March 18, 2021, and impacted the company’s ability to timely publish tariff rates and rules and to timely file service contracts and amendments.
K Line discovered the attack and notified the Commission on March 19 and petitioned the Commission for an exemption on March 24.
