The China Indonesia Service jointly operated by Gold Star Line (GSL), Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has begun calling at DaChan Bay Terminals.
The service, which features four vessels with a maximum capacity of 4,250 teu, will call at DaChan Bay in the West Shenzhen Port area every Sunday.
The port rotation is: Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – DaChan Bay – Jakarta – Surabaya – Port Klang – Qingdao.
Brian Yeung, managing director at DaChan Bay Terminals, said: “As DaChan Bay is the last port of call in China in the port rotation, the service will offer exporters quick transit time from Shenzhen to Indonesia.”
The facility, which is managed by Modern Terminals Limited, has five berths along its quay of 1,830 m, with a water depth alongside of 16.3 m, which will eventually be dredged to 18 m.
It serves the Pan-Pearl River Delta (PRD) cargo catchment areas, offering carriers the opportunity to cater to factories which are relocating inland and to the west of the PRD.
