Containerised cargo at the Port of Sines has grown 22.5% year-on-year for the first half of 2021, totalling 904,910 teu.
Overall cargo reached 24m tonnes in the same period, representing a year-on-year growth of almost 24% as Sines maintained the supply chains and continued to respond to market needs throughout the pandemic.
Liquid bulk, including crude, refined and natural gas, also grew in double digits by 29% and accumulated 12.6m tonnes handled, an increase of 2.8m tonnes.
