Terminal operator Santos Brasil handled 337,183 teu across its various facilities in the second quarter of the year, representing growth of 31% as Brazilian import and export volumes rose.
The company’s largest terminal Tecon Santos grew its market share to 40%, making it the second busiest terminal in the Port of Santos, Brazil’s largest container port.
The facility in Santos handled 296,095 teu, representing 34% growth, while Tecon Vila do Conde handled 28,934 teu and Tecon Imbituba handled 12,154 teu.
