DaChan Bay Terminals managing director Brian Yeung said: “ZIM has been our long-term customer and we are glad to work with them on the ASE service to introduce additional capacity to meet shipper’s needs.”

ZIM is the first carrier to introduce extra capacity to Argentina to cater for the increasing demand.

The rotation for the ASE service is DaChan Bay, Santos, Itapoa, Buenos Aires back to DaChan Bay – transit time to Santos is 32 days, to Itapoa 34 days and to Buenos Aires 35 days.

On December 24, the fully loaded vessel departed from DaChan Terminals, headed toward Brazil and Argentina.
