RTE launches updated wireless reefer monitoring solution

Refrigerated Transport Electronics (RTE) has launched the WRAD II, the newest iteration of its wireless reefer monitoring device, featuring Bluetooth 5 wireless communication technology.

The WRAD was first introduced in 2011 becoming the industry’s first wireless reefer monitoring product. It used WiFi Zigbee technology to provide opportunities to reefer operators of any size for expanding throughputs or opening new yards.

When connected with RTE’s GRASP monitoring system, or GrAsPP mobile app, the industry’s first and only reefer monitoring app, each WRAD II is designed to become a robust data management tool, creating real-time one-to-one communication between the operator and refrigerated container.
