Electronic bill of lading more secure and efficient, industry experts say

The electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) is “shaping the future of shipping” according to MSC, the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA), WAVE BL and BRF.

Taking part in a panel at Cool Logistics Global Conference 2021, the companies noted that the eBL is a more efficient and secure alternative to the millions of paper bills of lading being sent around the world every year.

MSC’s chief digital and information officer André Simha said: “We feel that the eBL is something which can really help the supply chain to be more efficient, as well as preventing issues such as delays and fraud.”
