International Container Terminal Services Inc.’s (ICTSI) Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) is set to invest US$230m to expand the terminal’s facilities and further improve its infrastructure to serve the Port of Manzanillo’s growing maritime traffic.
The project will expand the terminal’s capacity by 300,000 teu and reaffirms ICTSI’s confidence in Mexico and the growth potential of the Manzanillo Port.
José Antonio Contreras, CMSA’s CEO, said: “The investment is intended to expand the operating capacity of the terminal from 1.4m teu to 1.7m teu annually.”
