Hamburg Port Authority starts construction of additional shore power facilities

Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has been commissioned by the city of Hamburg’s legislature to supervise the planning and construction of shore-based power facilities at Burchardkai, Tollerort and Eurogate container terminals.

Additionally, HPA will also be responsible for the planning and construction of shore-based power facilities at Steinwerder and HafenCity cruise terminals.

By expanding shore power supply, the Port of Hamburg is helping to boost its attractiveness in terms of continually growing demand for climate-neutral, environment-friendly logistics chains and ship voyages.
