Mitsui E&S Machinery (MES-M) and its US subsidiary Paceco have received a grant from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) for a project to demonstrate a commercially feasible hydrogen fuel model at the Port of Los Angeles.
This grant is part of an overall project encompassing a demonstration of the hydrogen supply chain, from local production of clean hydrogen to the consumption point of port container handling equipment and dredge trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology.
This project, which has an anticipated term from February 2022 to March 2026, will be executed in collaboration with Toyota Tsusho, Toyota Tsusho America, Hino Motor Manufacturing and Hino Motor Manufacturing USA.
