APM Terminals accelerates API roll-out

APM Terminals (APMT) is accelerating its roll-out of application programming interfaces (APIs), as it aims to improve access to real-time data to help speed up container flows through terminals.

An API is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other, removing the need to look up or submit information manually via a separate system.

The terminal operator’s APIs connect a customers’ own transport of logistics planning system with real-time data from the terminal operating system (TOS).
